On Tuesday, March 29, 2016, the Eureka Town Board Re-
organization meeting was held at the Eureka Town Hall. This is a
meeting that is held every Spring. The meeting was attended by
Supervisors Brian Budenski, Cory Behrendt, Dan Rogers, Carrie
Jennings and newly elected Supervisor, Lu Barfknecht. I believe a fair,
civil and competent Town Board is in place.
The intent of the annual Reorganization Meeting is to select a
Chair ( Supervisor Budenski) and Vice Chair (Supervisor Behrendt),
adopt resolutions for setting Town Board and Planning Commission
meeting dates and time, assign liaisons for Planning Commission
meetings, and set regular meeting date and time for the Round Table
meeting with the Town Board and Planning Commission.
The policy for recording meetings was adopted as well as the
designation of posting places and the official newspapers.
The Financial items discussed were the designation of an official
bank, signers for checking, savings and Visa accounts,
compensation for Township officers, election judges and rate for site
inspections. Pay frequency, employee performance review dates,
mileage reimbursement rate, authorized expenses and reimbursements,
the bond for the clerks and treasurer and the authorization for
payment of potential training opportunities were also established.

POLICIES
The current policies for compliance with the Data Practices Act
and compliance with the 60 Day Rule were adopted.
Copying costs - set at 25 cents per copy.
The Town Board will continue with the Sign Inspection/Repair/
Replacement Policy, Snow Plow Policy, Temporary Road Weight
Restriction Permission Policy, Potential Conflict of Interest
Resolution/Affidavit Policy and the Opinion Statement.
