THE EUREKA TOWN BOARD APPOINTS A NEW
PLANNING COMMISSION MEMBER!
At the April 11, Town Board meeting, members of the
Board appointed Ralph Fredlund to the open position on
the Planning Commission. The two applicants considered
were Ralph Fredlund and Charles "Butch" Hansen.
Ralph Fredlund is a near life-long resident of the Dakota
County area and has lived in Eureka Township since 1980.
Ralph has attended Town Board, Planning Commission
and other related meetings in Eureka for the past several
years and is familiar and current with the Township
Ordinances, policies, challenges, projects and issues in the
Township.
Ralph is retired from a position as a Minnesota Department
of Corrections Accounting Director. He feels that with training
and experience focused in accounting, and with a career in
State Government, he is qualified to serve the citizens of Eureka
on the Planning Commission. Ralph is very familiar with
government issues such as avoiding conflicts of interest, open
meeting laws and data privacy. As a retired citizen, he feels
he has time to commit to serve all citizens of Eureka with
respect, fairness, common sense and integrity.
I believe the citizens are quite fortunate to have someone so
qualified serving with our current and exceptional Planning
