On Tuesday, March 8, Eureka held its Annual Meeting and election of
our next Town Board Supervisor as Kenny Miller's three-year term ends.

There are approximately 1,500 citizens in Eureka Township and around
500 families. The election results are 127 votes for Allen Novacek, 153 votes
for Lu Barfknecht and 2 write-in votes, with a total of 282 votes.

Lu Barfknecht has exhibited strong leadership skills while serving
this
community as our Planning Commissioner. Lu is dedicated, exhibits an
attention to details, has a propensity for following the ordinances and
policies. Lu is fair and strives to make this Township a desirable,
organized and safe community. Lu has served this Township with dignity
and integrity. I believe Lu will continue to serve her community,
promoting the preservation and enforcement of ordinances, while
protecting the rights of all citizens.
